JUNE 2016 NEWS LETTER:

http://scaof.com/Newsletter topics for June2016.docx

DATE: July 06, 2016
SUBJECT: SCAF Membership Renewal Notice 2016
SCAF Membership,

This is just a reminder. It is time to renew your membership if you have not recently
done so. Memberships are due in July of every year. If you have just recently become a
member (in the last few weeks) the SCAF Board has agreed that your membership will
be good for the coming Membership year (meaning through June 2017).

***Your membership is TREMENDOUSLY important. We are approaching a
membership base of 100 WSC’s and have members from all corners of Florida now.
Our members are solo/independent WSC’s, WSC’s from small agencies, and WSC’s
from large agencies. SCAF officially “plows a great deal of water” with APD and other
key decision makers in the State of Florida now largely because we have a substantial
membership that far exceeds that of any previous Waiver Support Coordination
Association.

As many of you are aware from our previous ‘Member Information blasts’ and our recent
Newsletter, SCAF has been at the table with top level APD management (including
Barbara Palmer herself) on several issues of real importance to ground-level WSC’s.

The Board tirelessly works at making SCAF a responsive, lean, and effective problemsolver
with both the Florida Legislature and APD Tallahassee management. We have an
outstanding Member Complaint Ticketing System which ensures that any and all SCAF
Member concerns are without fail addressed and the member complainant gets a
response to their issue. We strive to be a solid communicator with our membership
base and never want to be an Association wherein the membership has any doubts
about what we are doing. This is an awful lot of ‘bang for your buck’ at $50.00.

Please remember to send in your $50.00 to the SCAF P.O. Box which is listed on this
correspondence (below). We will be updating our membership database by the end of
this month so please make sure you get your payment in for another year in order to
remain a SCAF member in good standing and continue to obtain continued access to
our Member Complaint System (*you’re mechanism to direct the activities of this
Association) as well as news and information about our activities on your behalf. *A new
application is not required unless any of your contact information has changed.

  1. Thank you for all that you do for Support Coordinators over the entire state of Florida. I am forwarding my membership fee so that I can become a part of your membership.
